Our vascular surgery department offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options for various vascular diseases under the expert leadership of Dr. Asimi.
- Aneurysms: For large or rapidly growing vascular wall dilations (aneurysms), particularly in the aorta (abdominal aortic aneurysm), to prevent the risk of rupture.
- Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD, Claudication, Smokers’ Legs): When blood flow is so restricted that it causes rest pain, non-healing wounds, or threatens tissue necrosis (critical limb ischemia).
- Carotid Stenosis: For significant narrowing of the carotid artery, which increases the risk of stroke.
- Acute Thrombosis or Embolism: In the case of sudden arterial blockage leading to acute ischemic syndrome and threatening the blood supply to vital organs or limbs.
- Venous Thrombosis with Risk of Pulmonary Embolism: In severe cases where medications and other interventions are not sufficient to prevent life-threatening pulmonary embolism.
- Dialysis Access: Creation of vascular access points such as AV fistulas or AV shunts in patients who require dialysis.
- Varicose Veins: For severe symptoms, complications such as ulcers (skin sores), or when conservative treatments do not help.
- Bypass Surgery: For severe arterial blockages that require rerouting blood flow to ensure adequate circulation.
